“We first used Brian / Built to Last back in 2009 when we decided to extend our previous property with a 120sqm hard wood deck with a covered entrainment area that turned a rather ordinary project home into the a property that captured the market when we finally sold it eight years later. It was interesting reading the 2009 testimony for once again BTL ticked the relevant boxes to the extent that we didn’t go to open tender but rather focused on getting the right design / budget and material selection with Brian / BTL.

2009 testimony “Our priority in a builder was someone with relevant experience in the local council / area, someone to “tweak” the final design through construction “smarts”, treat the project with professional enthusiasm and most importantly had the ability (and patience) to work with us.”

So what’s changed since 2009, from our end, not too much. Brian to his credit resolved some tricky design elements of our property and helped us get the relevant statutory requirements, whilst still giving us a budget that worked for us all. The service & patience is similar to that of 2009, but the acquired knowledge of BTL in the last 10 years has certainly grown to reflect requirements of modern construction / living spaces.

The build was completed like clock-work. We had our deck for Christmas, with the final design tweaks from Brian working a treat for a large gathering on a hot Boxing Day party. The overall deck build quality / attention to detail speaks for itself and if you are serious, arrange for a site visit via Brian.”

“In 2017 I decided to build an extension to my home due to an addition to the family.

I work in construction industry and am aware of how challenging construction projects could be. After speaking to few builders and conducting extensive quotation process I selected Built to Last.
I was delighted to work with Brian and his team from start to completion. Brian set a solid schedule of works, which was adhered to. I do believe Built to Last employs extremely skilful professional workers. High quality job was done. Communication was timely and consistent. Boys were accommodating to install some extras while still in construction stage. The site was left clean.
As with any project we had a couple of tricky moments where Built to Last were able to offer an elegant and cost effective solutions. The highlight is that nobody can pick up it is an extension as new rooms blended in perfectly both on outside and inside.
I would build with Brian again”

“I engaged Brian Wells (Built to last) for a large extension & renovation of my home at Kenthurst, which included new bedrooms, bathrooms, triple garage, rendering & re-roofing in colourbond.

During this time I found Brian and all of his subcontractors to be both very professional and most obliging.

I would recommend him without hesitation.”

“We engaged Built to Last Constructions to build an extension of large living/study area, bathroom and storeroom.
The various trades that Brian used to build our extension were first rate, they were approachable, co-operative and when problems arose, were able to offer workable practical solutions as a result of their experience and commitment.
Brian was always willing to accommodate any additional work associated with our project at reasonable cost. We are extremely happy with the new building.”

“For twenty-five years, we’ve been living without a driveway due to a pronounced sloping, rocky block of land surrounded by lots of trees.

After the trees were removed, our request was simple but challenging. To excavate the land and construct a functional driveway so that we could park our vehicles inside the carport.

As Sydney property prices continue to rapidly increase, with owners are opting to renovate instead of relocate the challenge of finding a good, reliable, professional construction company that was prepared to do the task and work in favour of us was near impossible. We contacted five companies and chose to go with Brian Wells because he epitomised what we were looking for. My wife and I discussed our building requirements with Brian over a cup of coffee and it didn’t take us very long to decide that he was the one best suited for the job.

The reason why we liked Brian is because he didn’t over complicate, over engineer or present us with doom and gloom scenarios. His very calm and quiet approach belies and his building skills and experiences. He’s a very good listener and able to clarify and confirm exactly what you would like, what is possible and what is achievable with a degree of difficulty. He offers honest professional advice with pros and cons devoid of the sales pitch. We really like this trait.

We are extremely satisfied with the end result. The driveway was constructed to our satisfaction, in fact we believe Brian and his team went over and above to deliver a beautifully constructed driveway. His team of builders were polite, worked neatly while on site and protected our property. There was no need to clean up after them. Costing and invoicing was good and aligned with the quotation with no surprises.
We have developed an excellent business relationship and would like to continue that into the third phase of our home improvement project.

We have no hesitation in recommending Brian Wells and his team to other prospective clients.”

“We engaged Brian Wells and his team at Built to Last to gut and renovate our 1962 brick veneer house with its rather boring exterior and unworkable floor plan. Brian and his team were consummate professionals.
The team worked around us whilst we lived in the property which was a challenge for them, but they never complained and always left the house in a functional state for us at the end of the day. The building team had good old-‐fashioned workmanship skills, and did an amazing job considering the interesting surprises they found behind various walls as they pulled them down.
Brian’s team were easy to work with, good-‐humoured and willing to accommodate our requests. Brian’s contractors and contacts for such things as air-‐conditioning, plumbing, tiling, electrical & windows etc were a pleasure to work with and the result of all these well-‐coordinated skills has resulted in us now having a modern, functional and highly desirable house.
We highly recommend Brian and his team at Built to Last with any building project you may have.”

“We engaged Built  to Last to construct a large double carport, verandahs and a range of external works at our home.

Brian and his team were always professional and courteous and easy to deal with.
BTL utilised a pool of very capable subcontractors which we found to be very important in ensuring a successful project. In particular we were really happy with the quality of workmanship of Brian and his team, as well as their ability to work with us to proactively resolve some tricky details.

We are thrilled with the outcome.”

“Brian and his team impressed me from the outset!! With excellent communication and years of expertise, they were able to steer my husband and I through the exhausting process of a major home renovation.

His team were sensitive to the needs of our family life throughout the whole process.  Brian was able to ensure our ideas became a reality. He never took the easy  option and went  out of his way to find a way to solve any design problem we threw at him. My husband and I really felt we could trust Brian with our project – that he wanted the best outcome for our home for our budget. I would highly recommend built to last and wouldn’t renovate again with anyone else. “
